I went over to Brighton to see Ruth last Wednesday and aside from some worries about getting her final paper for uni 'just right' all seems to be well there. She is starting the long haul to find a decent post university job. We chewed it over a coffee or two before deciding on a therapeutic wander around the local art gallery.
I met Charis on Bournemouth on Saturday for lunch chatting and anything else we could think of. She was reminded to thank her relative for the money she got - thank notes to relatives never go amiss :-) The next time I got down I shall have to give more thought to what we do there. We have pretty much exhausted the entertainment possibilities of the until the summer months. I think a trip to the Isle of Wight might be in order. She will be home for three weeks towards the end of the month. Ruth will be dropping in for a week around the same time to list her extensive collection of Barbie dolls having belatedly discovered that they were not on either mine nor Debbie's insurance. (So any visitor early April will find me in the company of two teenage girls one probably watching Japanese animation or watching 1970 detective shows for her degree, why the other takes photos of dolls and enters the details in a database - so just how much influence does Rita have with the police? I may need it.)
Charis tells me she has found a place to stay for her second year which with the added advantage of not having any messy males about the place may not look like its been firebombed and no one has noticed! I'll pass on new addresses and phone number when I have them. (I bought her a Skype phone if you or any of the family use them let me know.)
Its gale force winds and seafront roads closed here at the moment. The most exposed area not only being soaked with seawater but actually covered in some fairly large sized stones as well.
